Vietnamese is currently ranked 21th most popular languages in the world, both as a native and a foreign language (Ethnologue, 2021), therefore teaching Vietnamese has become a common practice in Vietnam and overseas.

On 10 January 2022, the Department and Community of Practice Vietnamese Language and Culture (VNU University of Languages & International Studies) invited Assoc. Prof. Andrea Hoa Pham (University of Florida, USA) to share her experiences and insights in applying linguistic theories into building a high-quality and attractive Vietnamese language program for students.

The event was held via Zoom, in which there was a lively and fruitful discussion and exchange between Assoc.Prof Andrea Hoa Pham and Dr. Chu Thi Bich (Head of Department), Dr. Phan Thi Huyen Trang (Head of CoP), as well as other faculty members and students.
