Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son extended a warm welcome to the delegation of lecturers and students from National Chengchi University. Affirming that the University always highly values international cooperation programs, the Vice President also expressed his expectation that the course would not only provide international students with opportunities to improve their Vietnamese language proficiency but also help them gain a deeper understanding of the culture, people, and country of Vietnam.

The year 2026 marks the fifth consecutive year that National Chengchi University has sent students to participate in the Vietnamese language and cultural experience course, with a delegation of 15 students. Within the framework of the program, representatives from both universities presented souvenirs to each other as a token of gratitude and a testament to the increasingly strengthened cooperative relationship between the two institutions.

Continuing the program, representing the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asia Linguistics and Cultures, Dr. Tran Huu Tri expressed his joy in continuing to welcome the student delegation from National Chengchi University to study at the University of Languages and International Studies. The Dean of the Faculty believed that with the companionship of the experienced faculty and a dynamic learning environment, the students would have two weeks of highly meaningful studying and experiences.

At the opening ceremony, the representative of National Chengchi University, Ms. Le Thi Nham, shared that the goal of the course is to help students learn Vietnamese in a native environment while directly experiencing the life, culture, and customs of Vietnam. She expressed her hope that the program would continue to be maintained and expanded in the coming years, creating more opportunities for exchange and cooperation between the two universities.

In particular, the heartfelt reflections from two students representing the Chengchi delegation brought many emotions to the ceremony. They expressed their excitement about studying in Vietnam, their desire to improve their Vietnamese language proficiency, explore local culture, and connect with Vietnamese students.

A special feature of this year’s course is the participation of students from the Faculty of Vietnamese and Southeast Asia Linguistics and Cultures who are currently enrolled in the Teaching Vietnamese as a Foreign Language training program. Throughout the two-week course, these students will directly accompany the Chengchi delegation as teaching assistants, supporting Vietnamese language classes and cultural experience activities. This is an opportunity for students to apply their specialized knowledge to practice, accumulate teaching experience, and contribute to building an international learning environment right at the University of Languages and International Studies.
The ceremony concluded with a souvenir photo session. The Vietnamese Language and Cultural Experience Course promises to bring the student delegation from National Chengchi University rewarding learning experiences and memorable memories, contributing to deepening the cooperative relationship between the two institutions in the coming time.
