1. Introduction

Welcome to the Department of Vietnamese Language and Culture. We are one of the most dynamic departments in the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). We teach Vietnamese linguistics and culture for Vietnamese students in ULIS – VNU; Vietnamese language, Vietnamese for specific purposes and Vietnamese culture for foreign students.

2. Teaching Experience

2008: University preparatory course for Lao students

2009: Short-term Vietnamese language course for volunteers of JICA, Japan

2012: Vietnamese language and Vietnamese culture for police officials from Japan, China, Korea, Laos, Czech, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, etc.

2013: Vietnamese for students of Faculty of Vietnamese language of Guangxi University for Nationalities, China

2014: Vietnamese for 20 officials from the National Assembly Office of Laos and Cambodia

2016: Vietnamese for Korean students of K-move Program

2017: Vietnamese for students of Keimyung University, Korea

2018: Vietnamese for students of Tokyo Foreign Language College, Japan

2019: Various Vietnamese language courses for foreigners

3. Vietnamese Language Courses for Foreigners

  – Basic Vietnamese (level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

  – Vietnamese exam preparation (ABC, OPIC, FLEX, SST)

  – Communicative Vietnamese

 – Vietnamese for working adults

 – Vietnamese for University preparatory program for foreign students

  – Vietnamese for specific purposes (tourism, hospitality, economics, trade  etc.)

  – Introduction to Vietnamese culture (taught in Vietnamese, English and Korean)
