Opening ceremony for the Vietnamese Language and Cultural Experience Program for students from National Chengchi University, Taiwan (China).

On July 14th, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS–VNU) held the opening ceremony for the Vietnamese Language and Cultural Experience Program for students from National Chengchi University, Taiwan (China).

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of ULIS were Vice – Rector Hoa Ngoc Son, representatives from various departments, lecturers, and student volunteers. Representing National Chengchi University were Ms. Phan Thi Thanh and the students participating in the program.

In his opening remarks, Vice President Hoa Ngọc Sơn extended a warm welcome to the faculty and students from National Chengchi University. He expressed his delight that the Vietnamese Language and Cultural Experience Program for Chengchi students had been successfully organized for the fourth time. He also conveyed his hope that the international students would gain valuable knowledge and enjoy meaningful experiences with the Vietnamese language, culture, and people during their two-week stay at ULIS.

Following the opening remarks, Dr. Trần Hữu Trí, Dean of the Faculty of Vietnamese Language and Culture Studies for Vietnam and Southeast Asia, emphasized that the program offers students not only theoretical insights into the Vietnamese language and culture but also the opportunity to explore them through engaging, hands-on experiences. With the support of dedicated lecturers and enthusiastic student volunteers at ULIS, Dr. Trí expressed his confidence that the program would be a great success and leave a lasting impression on all participants.

On behalf of National Chengchi University, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of both universities as well as the Faculty of Vietnamese Language and Culture Studies for Vietnam and Southeast Asia for creating favorable conditions for the students from Taiwan to study and engage in cultural exchange at ULIS.

Representing the international students, Vuong Chi Hao expressed sincere thanks to both Chengchi University and ULIS for organizing such a special program. He also shared his excitement for the upcoming two-week journey of exploring Vietnamese culture and affirmed his determination to study diligently in order to achieve the best possible results during the course.

The ceremony concluded in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere with a group photo session, capturing memorable moments that marked the beginning of an exciting journey of cultural exploration for the Chengchi University students at ULIS.
